Thank you Sillydoll . I stayed at the private albergue on the outskirts of town for several days last May and looked at that construction site as I walked into the city each day and tried to understand what it might be.
 
The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
I had thought it looked like a giant ski jump whereas my son thought it was going to be theme park...(probably wishful thinking..) It looks as though it will be fabulous when completed.
I think the Spanish are much better than we Brits at positioning modern architecture alongside traditional buildings. Barcelona is great for that. I would rather see a well-designed modern building than a badly built mock-historic monstrosity which often seems to be the preference of our town planners.
