The Holy Year and the first timers

Hello,
I´m planning my first Camino from Roncesvalles or from St Jean de Port de Pied in June 2010. The earliest possibly starting day would be the 9th. I think the walking time would be 32 or 33 days. I´m studying this site and I´ve found warnings about the crowded summer months in 2010 and the bed race to the next suitable refugio. This is something to worry, isn´t it. I´d wellcome all information to ease my mind.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
I don't know that anyone can put your mind at rest. Predictions are that it is going to be very crowded - more so than in the 2004 Holy Year as the next one after 2010 is 11 years later.
The authorities started planning for this Holy Year 6 years ago and have plans in place to cope with the expected crowds.
Watch the Youtube clip of the DVD video - Welcome - that includes some of the ideas for pilgrim accommodation in 2010.

Hi,
now I have to concentrate to the planning of the first pilgrimage and stop worrying too much. Your answer did the trick, thank you.
