Why complicate things.Plane leaves at 6.30 a.m therefore Dockrando would have to be at the airport at least an hour in advance.As Trecile has already advised take a taxi.Ask at reception where you are staying to prebook a taxi .I've had to do this in the past without any problem.No need for Rome2Rio.

The airport bus is now a regular local line, I believe. That makes it a lot less convenient that in prior years, when you hopped on in Plaza Galicia, went through the bus station to pick up more people, and then headed non-stop to the airport. I totally agree with the idea of pre-booking a taxi.

I used the new bus service in January. It didn't seem any less convenient than in previous years. Doesn't stop in Plaza Galicia but you can get on near the Mercado de Abastos - just across the road at the end of the street from Ivar's place. Bus stop outside a large school. The stop is easy to find with a sign clearly marking it as an airport bus stop. But it isn't much help for someone who needs to be at the airport in the very early hours of the morning.

If you are more than one person (or if middle-of-thenight, no hassle is a thing you don't mind paying for) then the set rate of 20 euros by taxi from central Santiago seems the least fuss mode. Have your concierge or hopitalero help you out (and they will tell you: it is 20 euros; it must not exceed 20 euros).

My view is that dropping a €20 and a €5 does me no great harm and perhaps helps to ensure that there will always be at least one taxi driver willing to start (or finish) their day in the small hours.
I did walk back from Santiago to Lavacola once. In the dark. I don’t recall any gain other than bragging rights

I walked backwards from Santiago the day before and stayed in A Lavacolla near the airport. Still going out "hiking" at 3am to catch a plane felt very stupid as I was going along the highway straight towards the airport. There are hotel options even closer to the airport.

Alternatively, I saw a lot of pilgrims sleep in the public area of the airport on benches. It has air conditioning and seems safe. These pilgrims most likely took the last bus on the day before from the new central bus/train station.

Not sure which is worse:

1. waking up in A Lavacolla at 3am and walking 30 minutes
2. waking up in Santiago and riding a cab for 30 minutes
3. or not getting proper sleep and staying the night in Santiago airport

All these options will make you feel sleep deprived.

I slept at the airport as I was supposed to be there 3 hours before the takeoff time of 06.25 last year. Not that comfortable but enough benches to lie down without too much of an issue. Just stay in Santiago until late, have a meal and a drink then get a bus/taxi - time passes quickly!

Our evening return flight has been changed and we are now on one that départs at 06.45.
We will have to book a taxi as the bus to the airport doesn't start early enough for us to rely on that.
I've already booked a taxi for our inbound flight which arrives very late at night. Booked via Booking.com just over 13€ between 3 of us.

I just took a taxi this morning, arranged by my pension. It was a set price if 26.20 euros, and it picked us up at 4:45 am and took us to Santiago airport. Taxi accepted credit cards.

Yes. There is an extra 3.20 euro fee for advance reservations. The fare itself is 23 euros.

My sister and I are in the same boat, thanks to Vueling cancelling a nonstop from SCQ to Paris that was scheduled to depart late morning when I purchased it, and replacing it with flights going through Barcelona with the first leg departing SCQ at 6:45 AM. I was also agreeing with the response that we wold likely need a taxi to get to the airport in order to make that flight.
My sister and I have to similarly get from a hotel near Plaza Galicia to the airport-- the hotel specifically chosen because the bus to the airport stops there. I plan to ask at the TI in Santiago (Rua Vilar, #63) once I get into town about this. If there isn't at least an hourly bus during the night, then we will need a taxi. The last time I needed a taxi to SCQ airport was 2017 and the cost with a tip was around €25 as I recall. While bound to be more costly at this time, I wouldn't think it will turn out to be catastrophic. We would be leaving for Paris on May 23rd.

Yes, Vueling cancelled our direct flight to London Gatwick, we now go via Barcelona . Most of their direct flights that week seem to have been re-routed.
Unfortunately the place we booked for our last night can't be cancelled without losing all the money. So we're stuck with that and a taxi to the airport.( 2 of us to share the fare fortunately)

Also the MOVIT site does not show buses early enough to make a flight leaving at that time.

The bus is very reliable ,I've taken it 6 times at various different times . Just make sure you know where the stop is .

It's a good bus but doesn't operate in time for very early flights.

I received a text the day before from Ryanair, or perhaps the day before that, to say that there were pressures at the airport and to avoid delay I should attend 3 hours before flight time. I must admit it was busy but it probably didn't need to be more than 2 hours before, especially as the Ryanair staff didn't turn up until 2 and a half hours before takeoff! This isn't a dig at Ryanair as, whilst I haven't flown with them a lot, I have found them to be very efficient.

Ok sure. Yes I use them a lot and find them pretty good. Yes understood, probably a generic text to all bookers irrespective of the sector you are travelling.

Hello fellow prilgrims! To those who have reached the airport by the public bus, how far is the bus stop from the entrance to the airport terminal? Google Maps says it is 290m / 4 mins from the bus stop (Lorenzo), but it is not clear whether the 'destination' assumed by Google is simply the nearest point on the airport boundaries while the actual entrance to the airport terminal for passengers is still some distance away. I am trying to work out how much time to allow for to get there in time. Grateful for any advice, thanks!

It seems that there are different buses going to the airport: the shuttle run by the company Tussa (line 6A) stops right at the entrance, but the public bus run by the Galicia local government (number XG802, according to Google) seems to stop a fair way away. I will need to check if line 6A actually passes through where I am staying...

Sorry when you say a local bus, is there a bus name, number, station, how did you find out about local bus? More information would be appreciated by more people. Videos on this topic on YouTube are also very unclear people just saying they took a bus?!

Just to add that there is 100% definitely an airport bus (number 6a) stop on Rúa de San Roque in Santiago, just a few minutes walk from Plaza San Roque.
(A 10 minute walk from the cathedral).
It's opposite the dental place at 31 Rúa de San Roque.
The bus shelter even has a big light blue sign with yellow writing on it saying "AIRPORT BUS". AND an electronic screen saying when the next bus will arrive.
I was there checking it out 10 minutes ago.
The buses are very regular. I'm going back soon and will take a screenshot of the timetable. As I said, it's number 6a for the airport.
