Villatueta Albergue Closed 12th-16th of August

Just received notification e-mail from Fatima Perez fromLa Casa Magica albergue that they are closed from 12th to the 16th of August.

Disapointing as I had already had confirmation from them for the 14th I was looking forward to staying, any recommendations for the area or Estella ???.

Just east of Villatuerta you might stop in Lorca. Jose the hospitalero in the simple albergue de Lorca is a most helpful guy. Read what others have posted re Lorca here.

Further west of Estella in Villamayor de Monjardin the new albergue is a very comfortable place. All is state of the art with hyper clean, small dorms each with near-by shower and loo. The family who run it are most kind and helpful. What a treat! See more basic info here.

I really liked this place too. My dorm was all single beds, no bunks! And I had a good evening meal in the café/bar/restaurant located on the ground floor. Jill
