Hello,

First timer here and I have 10-11 days and I want to finish in Santiago. I am flying into Madrid and will take a train/bus to the trailhead. Gracias!

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
Welcome to the forum @slfred ! what about either walking the Camino Ingles and then towards Finisterra/muxia or simply walk the Camino Portugues from Porto to Santiago? Or the Frances from Sarria? Or basically, any Camino that is ~200km away from Santiago? Less if you want to continue to the coast/more if you want to stop in Santiago for a few days. Buen Camino, SY

We flew into Madrid, took the train to Ponferrada, and walked 10 days into Santiago. It was perfect. We could have walked it in 9 days but enjoyed our pace.

Thanks for the info. I am an off the beaten path kinda guy and therefore I want to avoid the Frances. Buen Camino!

Good for you! The Camino Sanabres from Ourense also would fit your bill ;-) Or the Invierno from Ponferrada - lots of choices! BC SY
