Greetings from Gloucester, Massachusetts!
We are planning to walk VDLP mid-September on. We will be flying into and out of Madrid.
Any suggestions as to where to stay in Madrid will be appreciated.
Thank you!

I suggest you get on booking.com now and look for inexpensive lodgings near Atocha Station if you're taking the train down to Seville. Otherwise, just find lodgings in Seville.

Very light, comfortable and compressible poncho. Specially designed for protection against water for any activity.

Our Atmospheric H30 poncho offers lightness and waterproofness. Easily compressible and made with our Waterproof fabric, its heat-sealed interior seams guarantee its waterproofness. Includes carrying bag.

Depending on when your flight gets in (in the morning?), I would just take the train (3 hr 34 min) to Seville and find a place there-- likely less expensive and hectic than Madrid, and if you take a rest day, look around, and get your first sello from the Cathedral.

The trains for Seville are leaving from Atocha station. So for easier access either choose something close to Atocha or Puerta del Sol, both easily accessible with public transport from the airport. Even the walk from one to the other should be only about half an hour.

JC Rooms Santo Domingo is pretty cool, close to metro and supermercado and, frankly, the wonderful mercado San Miguel.., i think it’s both modern and charming.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.
