Who knows the costs of taking luggage in hold with Iberia flight?

I booked a ticket from Amsterdam to Biarritz, fly company is Iberia. They couldn't tell me the price of luggage on hold (not cabine luggage) . Can't find it on internet. Does anyone booked with Iberia ans knows this?

That is strange - how have you booked your flight? When I book with Iberia or others they always offer me the different options with price tag. Also if you have already booked, they will have already charged you for those options. Buen Camino, SY

That is indeed strange Yellowfriend. Because the first option when booking the flight always states the Basic price and this includes handluggage only.

For instance...for the first of December. Brussels-Madrid.

have you tried looking on the webpage? It should list the costs for each checked bag...and how many bags are allowed free of charge depending on your cabin class

it looks to me like flying from Amsterdam to spain basic economy is no free checked, 30 euro for a checked bag (or ?15 if done online?); classic economy gets one free checked bag, 30 Euro for additional, business gets two free checked, etc...complicated but cheaper if you check the bag online it seems

I booked via vliegtickets.nl and on the confirmation is only bagage 0 kg... when I made the booking there was only this possibility to book luggage afterwards. And that is not possible I noticed. I called them today and they didn't know either and looked it up on the site from Iberia and they told me it was 60 euro.. vliegtickets said that I could only book it on the airport with departure. . I called Iberia and didn't got any wiser because I got no connection.The side is not so clear but as I read now it looks like it is 15 euro...

well, don't trust what I wrote...I would go to the iberia website and try to book your luggage there...it will be more expensive if you check it at the airport. good luck!

You'll need to get your Iberia booking reference number from the agent you booked with. You should then be able to access your booking on the Iberia site and add luggage, check in online, and sign up to have flight notifications sent directly to you.

It only says bagage in cabine, and via manage my booking it is not possible to book extra luggage....

It may be the Camino giving you a sign, or it may be too far in advance to book luggage. you're leaving in May next year, right? maybe contact Iberia to see if there is a limit on how far in advance you can book your hold luggage.

I don't think that is the issue here, in general and on European flights, if you can book the flight, you can book the luggage. BC SY

my flight to Spain on Iberia was an Iberian flag jet, but on return it was Iberia on a BA flag jet...I don't know if the ticket is on one of these if you need to contact that particular airline or what...

The equipaje adicional says you don't get a free bag for tourist basica (my guess is that is what you have) So you can pay 15 Euro online or 30 Euro at the airport.

And if that doesn't work just put all your clothes on and take them off when through the gates

Used to smuggle jeans and other clothes from Italy/Austria to Yugoslavia this way, hahaha.

I don't know how, but I had to pay 150€ for a luggage that didn't even weight 20Kg .. ?
All they could say is : if you wish to wait for the next flight it's up to you.
