Taking time walking is what the Camino is about. I did it in 28 days but it was because as each day went by I felt fitter and stronger. The killer first day at SJPP is something.. and after that it does not get worse. But the heat in July makes the meseta ( Buros- Leon0 hard going..
GOOD SHOES and WATER// and also, fruits.. very cleansing.
People one meets are very much on the same wave length and one is never alone..
Walking 45 kms or even 50 does not seem hard after a few weeks.. Satrt at 0500 hours is excellent to avoid the sun
It was an amazing and powerful experince and arriving at Santiago from Mont De Gozo is something special..
Buen Camino

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Dear Katy06
I'm so pleased to read that you completed your journey, I had followed all your preparations trying to work out if you could do it in a short time frame. I'm very happy that you were able to do what you hoped to, congratulations.

que sera sera

Thanks so much Magnara. I feel such a changed person now. No more do I get cross or easily hassled
I have this saying in my heart
Que sera sera ..

I am deeply impressed by the Spanish and their civility. They also make this pilgrimage to Santiago so enjoyable as they are welcoming and tolerant of pilgrims..
Will do it again, Most definitely!
Best wishes
Katy
