Just wanted to give a shout out to Ivar's Store. I've ordered items several times now and always the service is prompt and efficient. Just received my snazzy new Euroschirm Trekking Umbrella which was shipped the day I ordered it and it arrived quickly, as described and well packaged. Thank you!

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

€46,-
Ivar, I am in Santiago.. por favor, what is the name and address of your shop?

I have also purchased twice now from the store and was very surprised just how quick the delivery was. I used the baggage storage this year, again everything was spot on and it was a pleasure meeting Ivar on collecting. Thank you so much for all your work

New Original Camino Gear Designed Especially with The Modern Peregrino In Mind!
I posted on a backpack protector to Ivar's office and I was amazed when I went to pick it up how jam packed his fairly tiny office is and yet he found my package in seconds.
The little sew on patch that I ordered in advance of my Camino came through within days of placing the order.
Well done Ivar, an unsung hero of the Camino.

I don't have a physical store yet.. so far only Luggage Storage at my location. Hoping to have something more here for next year.. Feel free to stop by anyway :)
Hi Ivar
Can you tell me can the hands free walking umbrella be worn without a backpack, in other words is there a harness with it?

thanks

Laura

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
The trekking umbrella comes with a strap and clip that holds the upper umbrella shaft, in a vertical position, attached to your shoulder harness strap. The base of the umbrella handle is attached to your hip belt by an adjustable wrist cord. The result is a stable attachment that allows you to use both hands for other things, like using trekking poles.

Also, the umbrella shaft is very long and extendable from a more or less 'standard' umbrella height, to near double-length to accommodate being attached to your harness and riding higher over your head and gear.

Here is a link to what I think is the appropriate Euro Schirm 'Telescope' web page (in English):

I bought one from Ivar last summer to save me whilst standing outside the Pilgrim Office directing traffic and helping pilgrims. The sun was HOT. In two weeks, I plan to use it against rain on my forthcoming Camino Invierno... Here's hoping...

Hope this helps.

I received a delivery in Oz 2 days ago !

Spot on anticipated delivery date.
I ordered late on 31march 2022 and DHL van was at my door 9am Friday April 8, 2022

I live in out suburbs of Sydney, Australia !
Everything received packed well.
(Credencial, VDLP tee shirt , backpack stickers , large map showing routes in Spain/Portugal /and lower section of France, and @geraldkelly ’s 2022 update version of Vdlp & Sanabrés guide .
I could have bought the map when I arrived but it was a lot easier to get back here this way and postage very inexpensive!!!

I’m set !

I’m just amazed at the speed it was shipped !
I think some reading this may think it’s too late to order from Ivar - well that was excellent timing from Santiago to Oz, in my opinion.

Buen camino everyone

Hi all, I’m starting my Camino Frances on May 12. I’ve booked my first night in SJPDP, but I’m starting to worry I need to book more. My plan was to take it day by day and just turn up, but lots...
Hello all. Here to give a brief account of my (and many others) first day on the Camino on May 1. The trip to Roncesvalles was tough. I went Valcarlos route because napoleon was very ill advised...
Seems to be a lot of people posting about stuff they lost on the Camino recently. I managed to leave a nice new-ish polo shirt somewhere drying and didn't notice for over a week. I hope someone...
Did you meet Bjørn Krohn? Died aged 48 in an albergue, I don't know where, tuesday 21th. I didn't know this until now.
I am wondering how you disconnect, in part, from the world. I have a couple of reasons that I need to be accessible but, I don't want to be constantly connected on this journey. Ideas?
Can anyone tell me if food is available there… anyone stayed recently? Cheers
