Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
The Albergue Orisson is open !

I thought that they hadn't replied until I thought to check my spam folder. Whoops! Apologies Orisson.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
You need to email them. They dont take bookings unless its the day before. I'm waiting for them to reply which they said was four days.
That's only true during this time of year when the weather can still close down the Napoleon Route. I made my bookings several months ahead of time when I arrived in August and July.

They are not closed. I stayed there 2 days ago. It was also open to the top and onto Rocesvalles. Great place. Reservations are a good idea as they were full. refuge.orisson@wanadoo.fr
it was 36eur. I did it via paypal. phone # +33 055 949 1303. Also the Tourist office in SJPP has all the info as well as the Peregrino office.

Orisson just replied to me after five days. They were full on 3 May but helped me find a nearby alternative. Very friendly e-mail.

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

Well I can only tell you what both the gitte and the albergue told me 2 days ago and I do speak perfect Spanish so I did understand what they said to me. Hence my post.

What are people’s experiences of emailing and telephone payments etc if you don’t speak hardly any Spanish or French? If I email Albergue Orisson for example?

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.

Don't worry. I emailed Orisson in English and received a response in English. It just usually takes them a few days to respond.

Probably find they are fully booked in the near future.

My wife and I have booked in for 9 September. Emailed them, they replied within two days with a quote of 36 Euros p/p (half payment now, non refundable, balance in cash on arrival). They emailed a confirmation a day after payment was made.

Tossed and turned about breaking up the first day of walking. My wife felt it best to stop at Orisson.
Happy wife, happy life. Best to get off to a good start.

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc

Your wife is smart to insist on breaking up the first stage.

I had the same fast reply in english from Orisson and have booked 2 beds on the 5th of September. My young, fit son wanted to do the first stage in one day but I baulked at putting my older legs to that test.

We have just cancelled our booking for 3 May and have rebooked for September. Hope this will benefit someone else. Buen Camino! We will be thinking of all pilgrims

All sorted. I’ve booked the Express Bourricot to collect us from the airport, and auberge Orisson for our first stop. I’m very excited.
Thanks for the helpful comments everyone. Isn’t this site so invaluable?!
Buen Camino
