Time of past OR future Camino
2021
I have been dreaming of this since 2012. I have the French route on my iFit enabled treadmill and have done it. I have watched others plan and go. I finally planned mine, walking for 14 day in April of 2020. From Leon to Santiago. then spending 7 more sight seeing, Cape Finisterre then Valencia and back o Madrid. I had booked the hotels after much deliberations with myself, bought train tickets, airplane tickets and almost tickets to the Aquarium in Valencia. It was not my time.

April 2021 trip booked to do the Kumano Kodo this time I used and tour Company. It was not my time.

My youngest son and I had talked of doing the Camino after his high school graduation, then college graduation. Seven years have came and gone too.

This will not be my time, this will be our time September 10th 2021. Buen Camino

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

May it be so!

"Dreaming is what makes life tolerable" Make your dream come true. I made mine and walked from Astorga to SDC 3 months after my mother died who had been house bound for several years. I swore that I would complete my dream before dying.

SC Krys,
Indeed. May this be your time together.
Until then keep on keeping on.
Buen camino to both you and your son.

I’ve been seeing lots more announcements of camino starting dates, with people looking for others who might be starting out at the same time.

It’s been a while since we’ve highlighted the calendar and how it can be used for people to post their start dates.

So think about adding your name to the calendar. But remember, — add the start date ONLY. Do not fill in the end date, or your name will appear on every day on the calendar between starting and ending date.

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.

So happy for you...I hope it comes to fruition.
For Aussies like myself, we don't even dare to dream much less take the leap of faith & plunge into buying tickets & booking accommodation.
The Government stated this week our international borders will remain closed until at least mid 2022 (travel bubbles with individual nations aside) so...we'll live our travel/walking hopes through others like you. 🤗
Sempre avanti.
