A moment of Longing

I was just looking through some photos here on the site, and looking up maps of the Pelegrinos trails in Europe, and a wave of longing so great washed over me, almost bringing forth tears, not of sadness, not of joy either, but of yearning i think. I wonder if any of you have felt this?

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.

Yes yearning, I've have tried to trick myself out of it by thinking negatively about the camino but then I see a photo that has instant recall or my backpack staring back at me in the corner of my room. Needless to say it doesn't work. My screen saver sees to that. :)

St James' Way - Self-guided 4-7 day Walking Packages, Reading to Southampton, 110 kms
In Portuguese, it's called "saudade".
Its universal I think, not just a Portuguese, or Brazilian sentiment( according to Goog..) I think its a universal pull, i think its recognizing and acknowledging the "pull" that has separated the pilgrim from his and her fellows all through time. My humble opinion of those special..and not a curse, but a insatiable hunger for the "next new" Thank you for finding the word for it!
