The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.

We left SJPP on the 14th. I think it depends what sort of accommodation you are happy with. Some private albergues are closing now. For example in Larrasoana we stayed at Albergue San Nicolas on the 15th - it was their last night.
I’d look at things a day or two in advance as to where you hope to walk and consult Gronze as to what’s open. Bigger towns should be less of a problem.

Starting Nov 1, the winter Camino website should be open and updated to get an idea of what is open and if you should call ahead.

What'sApp is your friend. It will also translate your message (works both ways). Regardless of the announced opening/closing times, I'd check in advance even if not making reservations.
