€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
Thanks for the quick response, and GREAT site. If you're looking for more: my next Camino (if it's meant to be/God willing) is the Camino Fonseca (Salamanca to SDC via Ourense). It would be great to have that one mapped out. Peace, and Good journeys

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

Very nice work! We're interested in the Mozarabe, especially the part from Granada to Cordoba. One of the less popular routes, but very interesting historically. We plan to walk from Granada to Merida, depending on the weather and route profile, and then jump over to the Portugues.

I'll build from scratch: Granada + some stages from Jaen + Cordoba + Via de la Plata to Merida... quite custom! :-D

The 9th edition the Lightfoot Guide will let you complete the journey your way.
What fabulous work you have done diegoromerosm. Many, many thanks.
Could you please tell me if I can download these to Organic maps in my iPhone, and if yes then the best way to do that.
TIA 🙏🏼

All these routes and more are also available for download from the Dutch cofraternity in various formats - and have been for many years - here:

Thank you, I do realise that but am having trouble opening them in Organic maps on my iPhone 12. Would happily take any advice. Thank you.

Hi @Jenyat53,

I am happy that you like the compilation I am making. I'm sure you will also like this page to see the routes in 3D.

I'm afraid I don't know the Organic Maps application very well but it seems that it doesn't yet have the option to import GPX (standard format for routes).

The links on my page lead to my Wikiloc profile where millions of routes are collected. With their app you can also download maps and routes for use without a data connection. Its offline maps are also based on OpenStreetMap in addition to official cartographic maps in the case of Spain.

Let me know if I can help you with GPX tracks.

Best,

You would need to use the KML/KMZ files, not the GPX files. Organic maps is an offshoot of the now commercialised Maps.me product. As I recall it, that app didn't support GPX files either.

Very light, comfortable and compressible poncho. Specially designed for protection against water for any activity.

Our Atmospheric H30 poncho offers lightness and waterproofness. Easily compressible and made with our Waterproof fabric, its heat-sealed interior seams guarantee its waterproofness. Includes carrying bag.

Organic Maps is free open source by (some of ?) the original Maps.me team. Fundamentally the same but Organic Maps doesn't have all the (commercial) added complexity in the evolution of maps.me. After many year of maps.me I moved to organic maps some time ago.

As you say kml/kmz are the usual tracks to be used in both of these and others like google earth.

There are readily available tools to convert and edit the raw gpx files and I encourage such editing. I have done this for many years in preparation for my walks so I have the latest clean track to follow. Often from that Dutch source but also elsewhere.

For a useful resource cleaning the raw gpx tracks can remove detours to a specific albergue, cafe, en-route "tree" visits, picnics, getting lost etc etc. It also can maintain accuracy while reducing the data points from say point a few metres apart to a more reasonably spacing of say 25 to 100 metres apart.

I suspect that @Jenyat53, who asked the question I responded to, might not be sufficiently familiar with using more advanced geospatial editing tools for this to be a good option. The source she is using does provide KML/KMZ files, which might be sufficient for what she is intending to use them for.

Sometimes when I let one of my mapping programs convert a track to a route, it will recommend spacing as tight as this. But unless there is some local complexity that is important, I don't do anything quite so tight unless I want a really accurate distance estimate.

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.

Hi, brilliant resource, thank you. Good work!

I would like to complete the Frances, it being my first Camino, but starting further back in France. To have a period of solitude before SJPP.

Would the routes starting at Narbonne, Le Puy, and / or passing through Bordeaux be appropriate for your project?

Agree, beginning before SJPDP is nice. Lourdes to SJPDP would also be a great addition since all the available guide books seem to be in French. Thank You 🙏 for all of the had work!

Absolutely! It’d be great to add the main routes from France.
Thank you for the feedback!
