Correos Bag Transport on the Ingles & Finisterre/Muxia

Time of past OR future Camino

IMG_9485.JPG Just a shout out to the Correos Bag Transport - Three of us just returned from doing the Ingles & then the Finisterre/Muxia routes. We all lightened our load just a bit by sending one IKEA duffel bag (that I had used to check my pack, our poles, & some liquids on the flight over) forward each day. For a flat fee of 20 euros paid in advance on each route, you can sign up on day 1 to send your bag to your next location each day for the entire route. We were six nights on each route, stayed 2 nights in one location, and Correos got it right every night. There was one bag tag with a line to be filled in for each location - eliminated the need for an envelope & change to be placed in it every day. This was a great help for us "seasoned" pilgrims!

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
I'm sure this info will be helpful for some who are planning to walk the Camino Inglés or Finisterre/ Muxía and need to have their bags transported. Thanks for sharing!

thanks a lot for that information. Bruce and I plan to do the Ingles, then Finisterre/Muxia in April 2018. We found towards the end of the French way we needed to send one pack ahead by courier. thanks very much. I like the one bag tag. looking forward to our return to Galicia.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
I used them from Pamplona to Burgos and they were awesome. You can go online and set the whole thing up and print the tag out and fill it in. One day I wrote the wrong destination on the tag and they called me on my phone to clarify where I was heading since my tag didn’t match what I had put on online. I was very impressed.
