Is the e coli breakout affecting anything along the Camino or generally in Spain. The US news scare mongers, knowing that fear drives viewship ratings, are making a big issue out of it making it difficult to determine just how serious the problem.

So far it is all in Germany, but they blamed it on Spain. Apparently, when you flush a toilet in Germany, it goes to Spain.
 
It is all over the news in Spain, too. Lots of ill people all over Europe, but no proof yet that anything started in Spain -- more outrage over Germany´s accusations than regular folks´ guts.

We have Bulgarian workers building things out back, they all came down with some terrible intestinal illness last Thursday that stopped all work on Friday. Cucumbers in their lunchtime salad were blamed, of course! (And no, they did not eat here!)

Kinda reminds me of the first bedbug outbreak on the Camino a few years ago. The Spaniards blamed it on the French.
