Hi , the following restaurant is our favorit , Matias Locanda Italiano in the Rua Maior 4.
This is on the way out .
Wish you well , Peter .

Totally agree with Peter. Lovely people, great food and super ambience!
Buen camino, Camilla

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
Another vote for Matias Locanda. Group of 10 had a lovely meal there last year, in the garden to the rear.

Do do know that the place, Matias Locanda Italiano, is full of----hippies----!!! Wonderful people, great atmosphere. delicious food with veggie items marked on the menu, fantastic music and a decent albergue to boot. Would not consider any other place in Sarria!!! As Peter wrote, the top of the hill just before leaving town.

I arrived on the TrenHotel from Barcelona to begin my Camino in the morning. I was very excited and started to walk out of town. Reaching the top of the hill, I remembered I had left my credential at home. I turned around and the very first place I came to was the Matias. Obtained my credential, had breakfast, and was on my way. This year I am starting in Leon, and will return to Matias for Italian dinner when in Sarria. Thank you for the great memory.
