How to decorate your camino shell

I would like to decorate my shell, does anyone has any experience with paint of any other material? thank you in advance for your help!

Model makers enamel such as Humbrol should do the job. Other makes are available

I used a simple black waterproof marker and ink to draw a little pilgrim and the Camino cross. To keep it nice I put on couple of layers of Varnish for Acrylic paint. Maybe not the most professional option, but it worked just fine. Still looks pretty good after 1250 km of walking.

Just don't use permanent red marker. It aint permanent

I would think that acrylic paints would work well
