Just finished reading the new CSJ Bulletin and came across the short notice about a woman that has lost, last summer, her way near Finisterre, needed to be rescued by the Guardia Civil and got now billed for Euro 3800!
As it is winter, I think it is a good idea to remind new pilgrims, and perhaps even some old ones also ;-) that you will be billed if you need to be rescued by the Guardia Civil, mountain rescue or similar especially if:
You didn't follow official advice about which path to take over the Pyrenees and / or you insisted to take a path / route that was officially closed.
Your equipment was not adequate for your intended route aka trainers in snow, thin clothing in winter etc.
