Time of past OR future Camino
camino portugués (2016)
Hi, I'm from Ohio - planning to walk the Portuguese coastal route beginning in early to mid May, from Porto to Santiago. I'll be getting the Brierly guide for Xmas. Are there any other useful guides/maps I should acquire?

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
Unless you speak it already, a Portuguese phrasebook might be a good idea. Buen Camino, SY

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

Thanks, Huevo Duro. I'm just beginning to read through my guidebook - so many decisions to think through in planning! Wishing you the best on your Camino! September should be a great season for walking. I hope I will be able to do the Frances route some day.

Thanks Condorito.
I have been planning my Camino for while and finally I was able to set a date, so September it is. Mainly because is a slow time of the year at work and I did not want to walk in the middle of the summer as I understand the Camino is quite busy at that time. I too thought of doing the Portugues, most likely will do it as my second Camino. In the meantime time I'm training with lots of Rioja vino....
Buen Camino.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

Hi Condorito.
My husband and I are walking from Porto to Santiago at the beginning of June 2016.

The best advice we were given was to consult the maps of Luis Freixo -

His maps are superb!!!

Have you put the details of your walk onto the forum calandar yet? That's another great way to make contact with fellow perigrinos!

Bom caminho!
