Good luck Susi. It's a shame your Albergue was not opened last year and could have said Good day mate to you. Am from Adelaide...and hoping to do the Camino again. Your place looks lovely.Hello i would like to introduce myself....I am Susi from Sydney. I recently opened a albergue completely renovated by myself called Casa Susi
I am on the stage between Villafranca del Bierzo and O Cebreiro.
We have 12 single beds only. 2 great bathrooms.
I make a home-cooked meal every evening.
We have much information to share about the camino and the days leading up to your arrival in Santiago. We feel blessed each day to help the pilgrims on their journey
We are the only albergue in Trabadelo with direct river access for swimming in our garden.View attachment 34646View attachment 34650 View attachment 34648 View attachment 34649View attachment 34653 View attachment 34652
I have done no advertising just hoping that 'word of mouth' brings the right pilgrims to my door.
Hope you pop by to say hi and stay if i am in the right place for you
Buen camino
For the time being (Susi is most possibly very busy right now - ah, lucky pilgrims...) I can provide the link to Instagram I mentioned in my first post:Hi and welcome to the forum @Susi Swain ! Have a look at the forum rules, they state "Lodging facilities can post one post describing their place in the "Lodging" forum within each Camino. No unnecessary "bumping" allowed" (replying to your own post to get more attention)."
So why not editing your first post and including a bit more info, like the link to your website and social media sites? This way we can find you faster ;-) Buen Albergue, SY

G'day Susi,
Well, this is a wonderful surprise if I'm guessing right, and even if not.
In March 2014 I trudged through Trabadelo, I think, with a young, slim Lithuanian blonde lady. I say this only because we walked together for about a day and you may or may not remember us. The weather was wet. We came across a wonderful and very welcome refreshment stall with all sorts of goodies, and you stamped my credential with "Casa Susannah". We had a good chat. You loved the small village life having grown up on the central coast of NSW. I was from Tuross Head, my closest huge metropolis being Moruya, which you knew well.
If you are the same lovely person, and even if someone else, love and best wishes in your venture.

@Bogong, Asking a question of the OP puts them in an awkward position - if your question is answered, they are then boosting their post, no matter how innocent that might be in the circumstances. That clearly is not within the framework of the current forum rules as @SYates has already pointed out, with some hints on how the OP might address that. It seems to me that raising this in a Conversation would generally be a wiser option to pursue in this circumstance.PS Susie, I just found my missing diary. The village wasn't Trabadelo but Vilachia, and the lovely Australian lady with the wayside pilgrim stall with thermoses of coffee, fruit, and assorted goodies was born in Newcastle NSW and brought up in a small village near Lake Macquarie. After doing the Camino she had returned as a volunteer helper in one of the albergues and had settled into village life in Spain. Is this you?

Thank you for your kind words and supportAs a Sydney Pilgrim I met Susi back in Feb when she was home for a short break. I also stayed with her on 1 June, took two English Pilgrims with me - they could not have been more impressed - both with Casa Susi; Susi's hospitality and the food we ate that evening. Trabadelo is a good half-way spot if you are trying to get away from the Brierley stages, especially with the climb up to La Faba & O'Cebreiro!
I am very surprised by the amount of people that love hearing my accentHi Susi, I'll keep it in mind when I return in a couple of years. There weren't too many Aussie accents last year, so it's always nice to have a slice of home when abroad. Good luck with your endeavours. Buen Camino.
Yes i am one lucky girls for many reasons. My Father is the top of the list and living my dream is close to the top too!Hi, Susi,

Met her on the way she is a terrific lady and would stay in her Albergue in a heartbeatStayed last night at Casa Susi in Trabadelo. Sooo lovely. If you enjoy single beds, home cooking and a warm friendly atmosphere, plan a stay here. English speaking hosts
Obviously you already contacted Gronze (https://www.gronze.com/castilla-y-leon/leon/trabadelo/albergue-casa-susi) but Mundicamino (http://www.mundicamino.com/los-cami...afranca-del-bierzo/o-cebreiro/tipo/albergues/) and Eroski (http://caminodesantiago.consumer.es/mobile/etapa-de-villafranca-del-bierzo-a-o-cebreiro) don't lists your albergue.I really appreciate you assisting me with the Instagram link.
If you can think of any Apps or guides i could email that would also be highly appreciatedI am a very good host but not the best at 'social media'!!

Hi Susi
Looks like you are all up and running ! When I met you the property was like a building site and you were obviously busy trying to finish the project off, but you still had time to offer me a cup of tea and a chat about your plans. This was May last year how quickly time flies!!
I loved the character of your property and it will definely be on my list of places to stay if I walked this route again.
Perhaps next year as I am walking Lisbon to Santiago this year
Hope it goes well.
Nick
Well, I didn't bring my swimsuit this trip, and skinny-dipping is not my style. But the rest of it sounds great! We are the only albergue in Trabadelo with direct river access for swimming in our garden.
