Refuge Orisson Web site broken?

baron

New Member
Hey all,
Has anyone tried to make a reservation through the Orisson Web site and been unable to? Every time I try I get a message telling me my email can't be sent, and to try again later. This has been happening for days now.
Getting a bit concerned, as I know they fill up quickly and need to make a reservation. I would telephone them, but I don't speak French!
Any help/thoughts gladly appreciated...
Buen camino,
Chris

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Not sure baron. Someone else reported being able to make a booking recently. But I know that my Miam Miam Dodo said they were open from the end of March to the end of October. So I guess it is possible they are not open properly yet, and their e-mail inbox has become full and 'over quota', as I know can happen with some e-mail providers. But I am only guessing.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
Hey Chris,

We were able to book there, just the other day. They sent back a confirmation, too. I'll ask my friend what address she sent the email to.

I sent an email in French at least a couple of weeks ago and have not yet had a reply, I was beginning to get concerned, even more so now, but perhaps they just haven't got started yet, I hope that is the only problem.

Hi,

I emailed last night and received a reply today confirming my booking.

They wanted a deposit for the booking so I also forwarded a paypal email so that I could send a deposit that way. It was very straight forward and certainly a prompt reply.

I used the address - refuge.orisson@wanadoo.fr

Good Luck

Thank you so much to all who posted--I emailed them directly through their email address. Hope to hear a reply soon!

We booked our accommodation in Orisson by ringing them and speaking in French. We did this from Australia.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

Good news: I was able to make my reservation with Orisson today through the direct email folks provided. I really appreciate it--thank you!

This early in the season you should not have a problem with booking at Orrison, BUT...if you have not sent payment...even if you have a confirmation (especially later in the year) have the pilgrim office in SJPDP call ahead to confirm. Although an infrequent problem, folks with confirmations have been told on arrival...no room at the inn.

Just be sure!

Buen I had a great time at Orrison Camino,

It's 2013 and I'm having the same problem. I sent an e-mail using the link on the Refuge Orisson website and haven't heard back - have tried it twice.
