Planning to walk the Camino Frances from Le Puy, beginning on 6th April 2015
Hello all!

I wanted to write to find out whether there are any other Pilgrims doing the Camino Frances from le Puy around this time, too?

Also, I'd love to know whether any camino old-timers would recommend booking ahead between Le Puy and SJPDP? Ideally I'd like to play things by ear, and book on the day, but I am aware that this part of the route is less frequented with some remoter areas. Any advice would be gratefully accepted!

This will be my first Camino, and I'm going it alone, so I am looking forward to what's in store!

Thanks so much in advance!

Hannah

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

From airports to SJPP
Luggage from SJPP to Roncevalles
The Le Puy route is actually the most traveled of the four main French routes. Booking ahead the previous evening / same day is fairly common and recommended. Bon Chemin! SY

PS Buy MiamDoDo in Le Puy!

Thanks for this! that's really helpful to know.
I've been lucky to get a copy of Miam Miam Dodo so have booked ahead for the first couple of days (but wasn't sure whether I should continue to do so!) - It's such a useful guide! :)

Thanks again for your advice!

Oh, and just a suggestion: If you have the time consider the "detour" via Rocamadour - a very special place! SY
