The Church at Diomondi

Back on the 29 December 2010 the façade of the Bishops place next door the church at Diomondi collapsed.
Since then there have been arguments between several government bodies, the Church, the Concello of O Saviñao as to who is responsible for the repair.
History: The roof was recovered a few years ago, but it was noticed ever since than that this repair was not entirely satisfactory. With years of rainwater entering it the wall eventually collapsed.
The past month: I am sad to report that despite pressure from the neighbours association (an association of inhabitants of the area) nothing has been done since that date. Not even to protect it from further damage. So if you are passing take a look, before the more damage occurs and we miss this wonderful piece of history forever.

PS although this building is separate from the church it abuts onto it and there is talk that the church is now seeing water damage too.

That church is the jewel of the entire Camino Invierno.
It looks like the adjoining building is a complete loss, neglected to the point of ruin. Why not just demolish it and shore up the church -- the only part of the complex still in use, and of any architectural value? Too bad so many politicians are involved. We will all be dead before anything is done about this.

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.
