Train accident near SdC tonight

Little news known at present, but a Norwegian paper reports 10 dead so far. Sorry if I disburb anyone.

Now "at least 12 dead".

Officially being called a "derailment" (according to my wife's translation from spanish ABC).

Not yet being covered by El Pais, so this JUST happened.

It looks like it is right under the walking bridge that the camino follows on the way into SdC

It was a fiesta weekend to boot.

Local council of SdC suspended the fiestas.

"At least 24 dead and +50 wounded" reports a major norw. paper right now. This seems to be a huge accident, most unfortunately.

"There are many dead here - My Lord!" says a neighbor to the scene, to El Pais

I have just watched the late TV news in Norway. The train derailed on its way into the train station of SdC. Judging by the TV coverage, the damage is massive to several railcars. I fear numbers of victims will rise.
