Is there video out there or advice on how to put a poncho on and more importantly talking it off when on your own? I had a another make and really struggled with this.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
How funny! My friend an I spent an entire walking day inventing a spoofy video with commentary on how to Don and different an Altus. We were in stitches!
Unfortunately we never went as far as filming it....
I usually swing and flick the thing over the pack then put arms in and wriggle and pull it into position. If it is windy, use the wind to your advantage.
When it stops raining, I unzip, take the arms out and leave it tied under chin, move the sides so they drape over pack away from body, then let the poncho dry in that position, so I never put it into the pack wet.
My Deuter pack has a bottom compartment with zip and I can unzip that and pull out the Altus without taking the pack off. It is a very fast manner, when it starts raining.

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

€83,-
If you cant get an ALTUS, Decathalon has a similar backpack raincoat.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
In reply to my own question I have just noticed the Altus has a full zip top to bottom whereas my old one didn't. This must make it easier to put on and off.
I asked exactly the same question. I think someone posted the link to that thread above. Trying the flick it over your head method lol Bascially hold the pocho in front of you zip open and flick it over your head.
