Long shot - Missing hat (sentimental value)

Planning some sort of camino for Sep 2019..
Hi all, hope this is the right place for this. I walked out of Logrono this morning at 7am (heading for Ventosa) stopped in a cafe coming out of town - the only one open and only pilgrims in there, called él Otro Costal. About 1.5km I realized I left my hat on the chair, sprint walked back as fast as I could, but it was not there, and no one handed it in. Was really sad. I walked fast again, and tried to catch up with some of the pilgrims who I had passed on my way back into town. I met 3 who I had seen at the café and asked them, they said yes that a woman with red shorts picked it up, they think she was Spanish in her 40s or 50s and she asked did anybody own it. She walked on with it when no one claimed it. I walked really fast trying to catch up to her but wasn’t successful (and aggravated my knee..) She may have gone all the way on to Nájera.. So, as I say, a very long shot, but ye never know 🤞

If this hat is important for you, perhaps you should call all the albergues in Nájera in order to check if they can find the pilgrim who picked it up:

If your Spanish is not up to calling, ask someone who speaks it better, and let them use your mobile phone to make the calls. I have found that Gronze.es has the most inclusive collection of albergues.

The person being called might think you are "todo loco" (totally crazy). But, if you include that the hat has strong sentimental value to you, that should help.

If it were me, and I wanted to do a good deed, I would leave the hat at the municipal albergue in Najera - as it is the most likely used first location.

Beyond that idea, good luck.

Did you meet Bjørn Krohn? Died aged 48 in an albergue, I don't know where, tuesday 21th. I didn't know this until now.
Can anyone tell me if food is available there… anyone stayed recently? Cheers
