Luggage storage

So I'm only doing SdC-Fisterre-Muxia because I didn't have the time last time, I have planned to do it in about 7 days including all the extra days for just relaxing in Muxia. Since my stay on the camino will be so short, I don't think that bringing my bags (One hiking backpack + a small backpack) to Ivar would be reasonable. Has anyone used the lockers in the bus station, in the post offices or elsewhere to store some stuff for some days? Were those spacious enough? Safe enough?

Sometimes if you book a hotel they will hold your luggage for you until you get back. I know some people have done this. Though not sure why you don't leave it with Ivar?

Also as a side note, do you know if you walk back to Santiago from Muxia you can claim a compostela?

As KinkyOne said, yes. If you walk through Fisterra and go the 100+kms with 2 stamps a day, you can get the compostela.

Why not leave the things with Ivar? Well, it would cost me 45 euros (big bag+small bag) which seems a bit much for much for only 7 days so I'm looking for alternatives.

Hi, I left a small bag at the pension I was staying at. They were happy to look after it for me, as I was staying another night with them when I got back to Santiago.

Ah ok I see. I know the post office would be expensive too. Best bet ask the accommodation in Santiago you intend staying in.

Close to Pilgrim House there is a luggage storage place. I think that they charge 2 - 3 euros a day. They are open 7 days a week.

Just wondering what you are going to be carrying if your backpack and your day sack are in storage. I've done a few trips with just a toothbrush in my pocket and hope in my heart but I'm guessing you're planning on at least a change of knickers?

You can also store it in Correos. I saw it this year on Rua do Franco 4 close to the Cathedral (if you don't mind the name of the street).

Daypack (which will be my main one because the walk is so short) is coming with me, but the fancy backpack-that-will-hurt-your-back-if-you-walk-10km-with-it & large travel/hiking backpack go into storage.

Have you checked with Ivar’s storage section if you ‘qualify’?

It´s no mystery there are other places to leave bags. It just seems a little crass to walk into a restaurant and ask the waiter about the other places to eat in town. Probably a cultural thing.

A little loyalty goes a long way.
