We are currently in Lalín on our way to Santiago. Are the rooftop tours still available? I read somewhere that perhaps the roof is being restored and tours are not available. We will be there this Saturday, September 16!

Very light, comfortable and compressible poncho. Specially designed for protection against water for any activity.

Our Atmospheric H30 poncho offers lightness and waterproofness. Easily compressible and made with our Waterproof fabric, its heat-sealed interior seams guarantee its waterproofness. Includes carrying bag.

The roof top tours are wonderful and am glad that they are available. I'm scared of heights but it was so well worth it. As usual, a totally different perspective offered within the Camino.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

I was in Santiago three days ago. Make sure you book online as they were booked out when I was there

I went to the cathedral site and didn’t see this tour. Can anyone point to where you can reserve tickets? Thanks!

The rooftop tour is definitely a different and wonderful perspective of the Camino. I loved doing it twice; my first one in 2015 was in English, thankfully. The second time in 2017 it was only offered in Spanish for the timeframe I needed so I didn't understand a word said, but the views can be fully appreciated anyway as they "speak" for themselves.

Ditto, only in Spanish in 2018 but worth every euro and every minute for all the views and insights. Gracias, Sabine, I will book for October 4. Buen Camino

You have to ask a ticket for La torre de Carraca

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

How many flights of stairs are required on the rooftop tours of the cathedral? Not a problem for me, but I will be meeting a non-pilgrim in Santiago who might find it difficult to ascend stairs for more than two floors or so of height.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.

I’m not entirely sure but certainly more than 2. It seemed perhaps like 8. Be sure that person does not have balance issues as well. She or he will be going up slanted steps while on the roof.

I see four options for the tours. Any difference other than pricing for senior citizen, pilgrim, etc.
Why does some options tell you that you need to purchase the same number of tickets for the Portico?

Does anyone know a good shop I SDC where they have local cheeses, hams and other delicacies to take home?
The Galicia Rail pass is available to anyone who completes the Camino and is awarded the completion certificate. It allows for 3 days of train travel and also discounts to other places you may...
Has anybody recently volunteered at the Pilgrim office for the 15 day timeframe? Where did you stay in Santiago?
For those who are in Santiago 🙏🏻
