The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Wonderful. One of the things I loved about walking the Madrid was the signs indicating I was walking on one of the old drove roads. Has me itching to walk the Lana!

From the direction they are being shepherded, it looks like they'll be going past the Mercado de San Miguel - a location loved by foodies.

It was amazing to see! I came on to Madrid after completing my Camino Francis! Awesome city but I'm missing walking the beautiful Way.

I was in Madrid last year when the sheep marched through. And I missed it! We had had a very stressful morning buying several sets of train tickets and things had gone wrong and as we walked back to the hotel I could hear clanging and thought it was a protest of some sort and booked it through the alley to get away from whatever it was. GAH!!! I am still disappointed and sad.

Funny, this is a regular occurrence on the Aragon Way in Canfranc Pueblo, but it receives zero publicity! 😂. I guess they need a better PR person!

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

It was great fun. I had a place very close to the Cathedral de la Almudena near where they first enter the city streets. It was a great spot because we were entertained with singing and dancing by a group in traditional costumes waiting to join the sheep on their crosstown walk. i Also had given thought as to which side of the street I needed to be afterwards as you can imagine the sheep left lots of small offerings in the street.
