Hi all,

Xacobeo (part of the Xunta that runs the albergues in Galicia) announced today that they are closing (for 48 hours) a few albergues for maintenance.

The following albergues are closed on these dates:

26th and 27th of February: Os Chacotes (Palas de Rei) + Melide
28th of February and March 1st: Ribadiso (ArzĂşa) + Monte do Gozo
The 5th and the 6th of March: Sarria + PortomarĂn
The 7th and 8th of March: Palas de Rei + O Pedrouzo (Arca – O Pino)
The 12th and 13th of March: O Cebreiro + Triacastela

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
According to the Eroski website (which I think is up-to-date), there will be at least one other albergue open in these towns when the ones listed are closed for maintenance. So don't despair if you are walking through on these dates!

Here is the website, in case you want to verify opening dates for other albergues: http://caminodesantiago.consumer.es/albergues/#camino-frances
