El Correo gallego reports today that Xacobeo (the part of the Galician government that promotes the Camino to Santiago) just got their budget for 2009 approved.
26 million euros is the budget for 2009 that will be used to prepare for the "invasion" in 2010 (Holy year). Most of the money will be used to upgrade the albergues in Galicia and promote the Camino in general.
