I will walk from Leon to Finisterre / Muxia in March / April, coming up in just a few months.
I admit that I walked SJPP to Santiago de Compostela from 1 October through 10 November in 2015.
I also admit that I am strangely committed to the concept of silent, prayerful practice. Being alone with myself is healing beyond anything in the world.
My last Camino I was exhausted all the time. By the second week, I thought, this is crazy, and I am so tired.
By the time I walked into Santiago, I felt as though I had lost something....and gained something....and wanted to go home so bad.
When I got home, I was profoundly grateful for my warm home, my beautiful farm, my loving husbands, my beloved pets.
Within three days, I was looking at airline tickets and considering the calendar.
I did not rest until I had my next trips planned. Now, I can function, eat, sleep, exercise. I have my trip plans booked!
God calls me to myself, and to silent practice. I work hard to finance my trips, and appreciate my good health that allows me to do Camino again.
