We should just expect and accept it. (a rise in cost) It will be more expensive on the Caminos. I, for one, will completely understand it. The situation is bad for the locals and needs to be brought back to sustainable.
Which is not strange. It is time for all of us, but just IMHO, to lift the Camino back to its real existence. I should say that I will happily accept additional costs: Many albergues have been out of business for more then one year: I can only imagine their losses and desperation for income. It is so sad for our friendly helpers on our Way.
As I walk my next Camino, I will have all this in my mind: Paying gladly for my bed, if a few Euros more expensive; accepting higher prices for my cold beer break, but being more generous with my tipping, hoping that every penny (I am not righ) will be welcomed.
I just feel with the people, and will try my best (with not much means) to help where help is clearly needed.
